THUNDER BEAR 4WD • Archives - 2010

The Archives page is a collection of all the past front page posts of this site. If you you remember seeing something posted on our home page at one time and would like to see it again, it can be found here.

Man... time flies...

I spend so much time on social media, I often forget we have this site. That's a habit I'm going to do my best to break.

Well, its early December, and I've had my 392 Jeep since July 22nd. Life's, been pretty crazy with the all the RONA bullshit and other interruptions. I've only been off road a few times in the new Jeep, but hoping to change that sooner rather than later.

There's pics of the new Jeep in our Facebook group, so you can follow the links below to get to our group.

Also starting a Facebook page for hopeful future business purposes.

Going to be making some updates and content changes to this site as well. Want to get some things cleaned up and more organized.

There may even be some YouTube/Rumble action happening as well. Hopefully that can become a reality.

... and times, continue to change...

So its been nearly 4 years since I've posted anything to this website. The last post you can see below was me letting people know that I traded my 2008 2dr JK Rubicon for a Ram Rebel.

A lot has happened since then. For starters, I changed the name of the site! We are now:

Thunder Bear 4WD

I re-branded in celebration of numerous changes in my life and a very important change that's just around the corner!

I said that if Jeep ever released a Wrangler Jeep with a factory V8, I'd buy one. Well, that's exactly what I'm doing! Jeep announced that they would be making the 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon with a 392 cid (6.4L) V8 Hemi. This is the same beast of an engine that makes a Dodge Challenger SRT Scat Pack go down the road.

In early February I ordered my new Jeep from Barry Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler! To the best of my knowledge it is being guilt either this month or next month and I hope to be seeing it soon.

I've also made changes over on the Facebook group as well, be sure to check that out too.

See yah on the trails!

... Times, they are a changin'

So, not quite sure how to say this... I traded my Jeep in for a pickup... Goodbye to the Jeep life, for now.

I'm filled with sadness of course, but no regret. Need to be practical at times in our life so I made the choice to buy a vehicle that is much easier on me and have some real horsepower again. Oh, what that? What did I buy?

I bought a 2017 Ram Rebel. Its a pretty skookum truck I tell yah. Am I going to wheel it? Why, yes of course I am. It has a spiffy air ride suspension that has an "Off-Road" setting. Am I going to build it and buy all sorts of cool things for it? Why yes I am! I think one of the first things is to give her some increased air flow. So a cold air intake and new exhaust are right at the top of the list. Then I'm looking at bumpers. Thought about a chase rack too.

As I make changes and build her up, I'll post picks on the FT4WD facebook group.

As a side note. This was never a Jeep only website/group. It mat have seemed that way at times, because well I was driving a Jeep. So I spent more time in that end of the spectrum. Rest assured that we don't discriminate about what you wheel (except for maybe a Mini-Cooper - inside joke).

Jeep, Dodge, Chevy, Ford, Toyota or Nissan; trucks or SUV's, all are welcome and accepted. Just want the import guys to forgive some of us, cause we like to say things like Murica when we drink!

See yah on the trails!
