Labor Day trip to Liberty, WA |
Wanted to post that I will have pics up soon
of our trip up 4W319 on Labor Day. We shot some video too,
I'll have that posted as soon as well.
Was a blast, we took the north spur of the 4W319 trail up
Rear End Hill up to Crystal Mnt for a quick photo op, then
headed back up the trail. (READ

Rock Crawling |
Ok I give up, so where does everyone go rock
crawling? I have been looking for a place preferably in
Grant County to go crawling for a few weeks now and
everything I see that looks fun to crawl over is either
private property, Wild Life lands, behind a locked gate or
is restricted in some other fashion.
I find it really hard to believe that there
is no public access to place that a person can go crawling
on in Grant County. I hope this isn't like the "golden
fishing hole" that everyone keeps to themselves. So if
anyone out there would like to share a place to go crawling,
please contact me by email or better yet
register in our forums and post there. If you don't want
to make a public post you can send me a private message in
the forums as well.
I'm not limiting locations to Grant County,
anything in eastern WA would be fine. Hill climbing would be
nice as well. I'm just kind of burned out on sand and would
like to do something else for awhile.

Ramp Travel Index |
In light of the fact that I bought a new Jeep
I thought I would hop online real quick and look up the
specs for building a ramp to check the RTI score of my Jeep.
No big deal right? I never would have thought that a search
for the build spec for an RTI ramp would have been so
exhaustive. It took awhile, but I finally found the specs to
build a 20° RTI ramp. From what I read on the sites I
visited, 20° is the "official" angle for the ramp.
I thought to myself that if it was this hard
for me to find, other people are probably equally frustrated
with finding them as well. I converted what I found into an
Adobe PDF file so that others can download and print the
instructions for themselves.
Hopefully I can build a ramp of my own soon.
When I get it built I'll post a notification and those that
want can come on over and check out their own RTI score.
For now you can download the build
instructions for your own build.
Enjoy :)

Joe's 08 Rubicon |
I am one happy boy! I was able to trade in my
07 Sahara for an 08 Rubicon today. All I can say is it
freakin R0X0RZ! It can keep up with 2000 Wrangler with a
Rubicon Express 4" Lift kit on an RTI (Ramp Travel Index)
test.
Here is a quick video of it while my wife and
I were moving personal items from one rig to the other.

Night Maneuvers Part: 2 |
Well, we bought a new camcorder. It is a JVC
Everio HDD MG360 and it it did a bit better in the dark. I
think its going to do a great job during the day. At any
rate here are some videos of adults acting like teenagers.
Viewer discretion is advised.
Adults Language and Shear Stupidity Abound

p.s. Yes I know, I need to get a tripod to
take more steady video. But that's the fun part, learning
how to do it right!

Night Maneuvers Part: 1 |
I want to apologize for not having very much new
content up on the site lately. Work has been kicking my ass and
family life has been hectic as well. Willie, Lori, Anne and
I did manage to make it out to the Moses Lake Sand
Dunes last weekend and again this weekend. We got some still
pics and some video for everyone to check out.
We want to thank the latest generation of
drivers and operators for allowing us to get some great
content of them tearing up the sand. I also want to thank
Willie and Lori for bringing her nifty new camera that
allowed us to capture the stills and video. Willie was a
little shaky on some pictures but they turned out way cool
regardless. The man has an eye for the psychedelic.
We are going to be working on some techniques
that will get us some better footage in the future.
Particularly me getting my Day Liter's working and maybe
busting out the spotlight ;) Night time isn't the easiest
thing in the world to shoot in, but you can definitely hear
us having fun in the video. I will say this, everything we
do will just keep getting better and better so be sure to
come back and visit often.
Thanx a million, y'all R0x0rZ!

New easier to remember web address! |
After receiving feedback
from guests to the site, one thing kept coming up, everyone
thought the web address was to long. Trying to remember and
typing out "foxxxtracker4wd.com" wasn't very much fun for
folks, so I made a change. I was able to secure a
new URL for the site that is much easier remember and easier
to type out.
www.FT4WD.com
Guests coming to the site
under the old web address will be automatically directed
here. So if you sent a friend you know to the old web
address, there's nothing to worry about, they will still
make it here. I will be leaving the redirect page up for the
next year to make sure everyone finds their way to the new
address.

Moses Lake Sand Dunes |
Looks like the Moses Lake Sand Dunes are
starting to see a bit more action. Anne and I were out
Saturday and saw several ATV riders out tearing up the sand.
While we were out there we did some shameless promotion of
the site and handed out a few cards. We also took some pics
of the guys and gals out having a good time.
You can check the rest of the pics out here:
A lot of the folks we talked to seemed to
give use positive feed back on the site. We want you to know
that we do this for you! Your participation is
directly related to this sites success and we hope to be the
best source for information for all 4WD and ATV enthusiasts
in eastern WA.
Please register in our forums and give us
feedback on what you would like to see and tell us what is
important to you. Registering also gives you a chance to
communicate with others in the 4WD and ATV community. We
also welcome any information on events happening in the 4WD
and ATV community, let us know so we can help pass the word
on to others!
You can register in our forums

As always we would like to invite anyone that wants to
come on outside and play in the dirt.

Cabin Fever: Part 2!! |
Well Beings that I been stuck inside for
awhile now, I decided to make some rather substantial
changes to our website. There a several graphical changes,
upgraded forums and new content. Please stop and register in
the forums and check out the new Google Maps that are being
implemented in the ORV Facilities section.
We also want to let people know that we are
working on getting a digital video camera so that we can
start making FT4WD movies of all the places that we go, from
the sand to the mountains, so check back periodically for
new video content.
After revamping the site, my wife and I
decided to go and check out the Moses Lake Sand Dunes to see
how much snow was still hanging around and were pleasantly
surprised to find there was very little snow left. The dunes
are fairly hard packed from all the run off water and snow
and they're not excessively choppy right now either. We saw
several folks riding quads and a few bikes out there as
well. We will be out and about again getting in some much
needed time off road.
We would like to invite anyone that wants to
come on outside and play in the dirt. Spring is just about
here and there is no reason not to get a head start.
Register in the forums and let us know that your interested
in getting back outside again.
